Topographic Survey

Description of services and when they are usually required

A Land Survey locating natural and man made features such as buildings, improvements, fences, elevations, land contours, trees, streams, etc. This type of survey may be required by a government agency, or may be used by Engineers and/or Architects for the design of improvements or developments on a site.

Land Survey Plat (LSP)

A survey to establish the boundaries of a parcel using its legal description which typically involves the setting or restoration of monuments or markers at the corners or along the lines of the parcel. A map or plat is then drafted from the field data to provide a representation of the parcel surveyed.

Improvement Survey Plat (ISP)

An Improvement Location Certificate or ILC is an inspection of a parcel by a licensed surveyor to determine possible encroachments or other matters that could be adverse from a land surveying standpoint.
